Basic Navigation
The first thing you will notice about Moodle 4.1 is that the look and feel have changed significantly. Even the basic navigation is different. For example, your Dashboard is now broken into Dashboard (Calendar, & Timeline) and My courses (your list of courses).
Top Menu
Course Menu
When you select a course from your list, you will see a second-level menu.
Editing Course Pages
Editing a course page is now accessed through the Edit mode switch (toggle) at the top right of a course page.
Viewing Courses
The Course index (on the left of the course page) can easily be collapsed by clicking on the X and expanded by clicking on the menu icon.
Similarly, the course blocks (on the right of the course page) can be collapsed and expanded.
User Tours
There are user tours for a number of pages in Moodle now. The first time you access each type of page with an associated tour, you will automagically be presented withi a small pop-up screen that allows you to either step through the tour or skip it.
If you have skipped the tour (or finished it) and want another shot at it, simply click on the question mark at the bottom right of the page and select Reset user tour on this page.
Collapsable Topics
Course topics are now easily collapsable and expandable. By clicking on the Collapse all option, all topics in the course are reduced to their titles.
You can then use the Expand all option to show all content again.
You can also expand and collapse topics one at a time.
